Let's Get Real.
Mikhail Blagosklonny has a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine and Cardiology. Mikhail is a scientist who researches about cancer and aging. He went to the First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg where he earned his Master’s degree in Internal Medicine and his Ph.D. Mikhail Blagosklonny is currently an Oncology professor at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He joined the institute in 2009. Mikhail was termed as an excellent professor due to his extensive skills and experience. Mikhail became the associate professor of medicine in 2002 at the New York Medical College. He also served as the senior scientist at the Ordway Research Institute. Mikhail Blagosklonny’s interests in research include cancer and targeted therapies for cancer, underlying aging mechanisms (biogerontology), and anti-aging drugs. Mikhail is also the editor-in-chief of Cell Cycle and Oncotarget. He has been named as one of the most passionate advocates for Rapamycin when it comes to research on longevity.
Mikhail serves on the editorial board of Cell Death and Differentiation on Impact Journals. He is an associate editor of Cancer Biology and Therapy. Mikhail believes that aging and cancer can be prevented and treated. He proposed the use of Rapamycin in the treatment of cancer and invented a hypothesis about TOR signaling and its potential role in aging and cancer. Mikhail believes that it is possible to have a community that is free from aging effects and cancer. This is why he is committed to his oncology research. His research is in different niches including apoptosis, molecular and cellular biology, therapeutics for anti-cancer, cell cycle, clinical investigations, and ontogenesis, and tumor suppressors. Mikhail contributes a lot to different science journals on tandfonline.com and works as an associate editor for PLUS ONE, International Journal of Cancer, the American Journal of Pathology, among others. Mikhail says that journals are a great media of letting people know what is going on when it comes to scientific research. Mikhail Blagosklonny has published over 300 articles on research with reviews and chapters. He still continues to write more for his readers. He mostly writes about cell cyclotherapy, the theory of aging hyperfunction, and chemotherapeutic engineering.
Mikhail is an example that one can use his career to bring change to humanity through writing on issues that affect humans. His goal of having people living free from aging effects and cancer has led him to be recognized over the world. He encourages and motivates young scientists who are in his field of work by allowing them to write articles about the subject on oncology.
